What ClipTrack is
ClipTrack identifies the anime scene in a screenshot and lets you keep track of what you watch. Browsing, search, title pages and Anime Finder are free and need no account. An account is needed only for the two features that have to remember something for you: your Vault and your Saved Scenes. Using ClipTrack means accepting these terms.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself and for what happens under your account. One ClipTrack account covers both the website and the ClipTrack mobile app, and your Vault is shared between them.
You can delete your account at any time. Doing so deletes the whole ClipTrack account — including your mobile-app sign-in and the Vault shared with it — immediately and permanently, with no recovery period. One minimal deletion-security marker is kept afterwards, and the Privacy Policy sets out exactly what it does and does not contain. We may suspend or remove an account that is being used abusively.
Acceptable use
Please do not:
- upload anything you do not have the right to upload, or anything unlawful;
- automate, scrape or flood ClipTrack, or try to work around its rate limits — they exist because the services behind ClipTrack are shared and mostly free;
- attempt to reach another user's Vault, Saved Scenes or account, or to probe ClipTrack's security without permission;
- use ClipTrack to redistribute the copyrighted material it identifies.
Accuracy, and what ClipTrack cannot promise
Title information, artwork and streaming availability come from third parties — TMDB, MyAnimeList via Jikan, and trace.moe — and ClipTrack presents what they return. That information can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, and when one of those services is unavailable the affected part of a page will say so while the rest keeps working. That is not a hypothetical caveat: at the time of writing, anime data has been unavailable for extended periods because of an upstream outage.
Anime Finder results are a best guess, not a fact. Every match is shown with a confidence level for exactly that reason, and a low-confidence match is often wrong. Please check before relying on one.
ClipTrack is provided as-is, with no warranty and no guarantee of availability. It is a personal project and may change or stop working at any time.
Other people's content
Posters, stills, artwork and descriptions belong to their respective rights holders and are shown here to identify the works they come from. ClipTrack uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
Changes
These terms are updated as ClipTrack changes, and the date at the top says when that last happened.
